City Shul offers adult learning opportunities for all levels, from a Basic Judaism class to advanced studies. Shabbat evenings and mornings include Torah study. We also have adult programming that stimulates intellectually and builds social connections. We encourage your ideas for adult learning and programming. Thursday April 2nd, 7:00pm, 4 cups, 4 questions, 4 recipes.. and 4 handwashings!  Join cookbook author and food journalist Bonnie Stern, together with Rabbi Goldstein, for a virtual cooking workshop complete with Rabbinic guidance to help make this years 'different' nights, meaningful and delicious. On the menu, savory almond crackers, Chirshi (Sephardic pumpkin and sweet potato spread), lemon and herb fish (or chicken or cauliflower) and caramelized nut cookies, while discussing ways to adapt to this years stay-at-home reality. Men’s Lunchtime Chavurah (Friendship Group)


Meeting once a month, times and places to be determined, the goal of the group is to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for open discussion as well as foster new friendships among men who are City Shul members. Conversations will range from current events to life issues, including lots of thought and lots of laughter. Women's Chavurah A once a month Friday night Shabbat dinner in member's homes for City Shul women to foster new friendships in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, and discuss issues of special relevance and interest to women. Always accepting new participants! Contact Casey.
