Torah Trope Class

Do you want to brush up on your Torah chanting skills?

What:                    Join Hazzanit Tara Abrams for an Adult Torah Cantillation Class (Part 2 - see details below*)

Who:                     Open to City Shul Members AND others in the community (so spread the word)!

When:                   Six Wednesday evenings - May 29, June 12, 19, 26, July 17, 24

Time:                     7:30 to 8:30 pm

Cost:                      $170 for the 6-week class 

Location:              Classes will be held at Hazzanit Abrams' home in the Upper Beaches area, accessible by car, GO, and TTC. (Exact location is to be sent out to                                    all registrants a few days before the class.)

The class will not be recorded. 

Required:

1. Siddur level Hebrew reading/decoding ability (letters & amp; vowels)

2. *Knowledge of basic cantillation symbols and their associated melodies (found in the first part of the V’ahavta)

3. Possession of "The Art of Cantillation" from Amazon (Approx $45, including shipping) prior to the first class. To purchase the book, click HERE

3. A commitment to do some follow-up work at home
