Rabbi Goldstein's first ever Scholar-in-Residence Shabbaton will be May 2-3!

There are 3 individual events, as follows:

 

Event #1

Friday, May 2, 7 to 9 PM will be a study with dinner.

"The Birthing Parsha: Reflections on the Rabbinate Then and Now. With City Shul now entering an exciting new phase, what should we be thinking of, preparing for, and giving birth to? Texts, musings, and discussion!"

Event #2 

Saturday, May 3, 10 AM to 12:30 PM will be a Shabbat Brunch & Study.

"Tazria/Metzora Torah study: Purity, Impurity and Us? A study of Rabbi Goldstein’s favourite portion of Leviticus—with blood and water, menstruation and birth, oh my!"

Event #3

Saturday, May 3, 7:30 to 9:30 PM. Signature Lecture with Havdala. Light snacks will be served.

“For Heaven’s Sake: Ancient Wisdom for Modern Disagreements. How does Judaism view civil discourse? Can we disagree over fundamental issues and maintain a “community"? We will explore some traditional texts which will help us ponder these difficult questions for difficult times.”

For each event, registration is required and a wait list will be created once each event is full.

Open to adults and teens 13-18.

The events will not be live-streamed and cannot be recorded.
