Shabbat Special Event - Reflections on the Anniversary of October 7th - Saturday, October 5, 730 - 10 PM

The Shabbat between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur (Shabbat Shuvah) is a time for reflection upon experiences of the year that has passed.

This has been a difficult year for all of us, beginning with the horrors of October 7th and continuing throughout the year as we prayed for an end to war and return of the hostages, while also experiencing increasing acts of anti-Semitism in our own community. We will gather to mark the end of Shabbat Shuvah, and to reflect upon the anniversary of October 7 with song and prayer, and an opportunity to share our feelings of mourning, grief and peace in a safe, non-confrontational environment. We will be joined by Rabbi Gottlieb and City Shul member Jon Allen, to provide perspective and hold space for solidarity and hope as our community grapples with the devastation and challenges that have emerged in the past year both in the Middle East and locally.

This special Shabbat event will begin with Havdalah and end with light refreshments. The event is open to all members and those who purchase High Holy Day tickets.

Registration closes Tuesday, October 1, at 3 PM (our offices will be closed starting Wednesday, October 2 - 2 pm, for Rosh Hashanah)

If you have a copy of this book from past City Shul High Holiday services, you do not need to purchase a copy.

Please note that we do not provide prayer books and there are no loaners or book sales at services.
Please note that this book is "out of print", so we are able to sell you used books in excellent condition at a lower price.

All prayer books will be ready for you to pick up at your first service. Please note we do not mail or deliver prayer books. The cost of books is not tax-deductible.
