Please click HERE to understand why this vote is critical to the world-wide effort to ensure that Reform Jewish values, which are under threat from religious and nationalist extremists, are upheld in Israel, and that our Movement, which is in the forefront of the fight for peace, pluralism and democracy is supported in this effort.
Background Information:
Canada will hold elections for the World Zionist Organization (WZO) from June 5 to June 15. The election will be held on line.
Our mission is to have all Reform Jews in Canada vote for the ARZA Canada slate, part of the world Reform coalition (ARZENU)
Campaign Objective
The goal of the ARZA Canada WZC Election Campaign is to mobilize Canadian Reform Jews, liberal-minded unaffiliated Jews, and other non-Orthodox Jewish communities to vote for the Reform slate in the World Zionist Congress (WZC) election. This effort aims to secure strong representation for Reform values in the WZC, ensuring that these values—Democracy, Equality, and Peace—are represented in decisions regarding Israel’s future and global Jewish priorities.
1. Protect Our Values in Israel
Protect the core values of Democracy, Pluralism, Equality, and Justice by voting for the Reform slate.
2. Your Vote Controls Billions of Dollars
The WZC controls over $1 billion annually for Israel and Jewish communities worldwide. Your vote determines how these funds are allocated.
3. Your Vote Determines Decisions on the Ground
Voting for the Reform slate means more Reform delegates in senior positions, influencing policies and decisions that directly affect Israel.
4. This is Your Opportunity to Have an Impact
The WZC election is the most important vote you’ve probably never heard of. If you don’t vote, you are, in effect, supporting those who oppose Reform Jewish values.
Eligibility
Be 18 or older.
Self-identity as Jewish.
Live in Canada as a citizen or permanent resident.
