City Shul Kabbalat Shabbat at St. George's Grange Park
Please join us for Kabbalat Shabbat at City Shul. Winter/Spring dates are January 16, February 6, March 13, and April 10.
Registration is not required. The service will not be live-streamed. All ages are welcome.
Address - St. George's Grange Park - 30 Stephanie Street.
The format of the evening is as follows:
6 - 6:30 PM - A Pre-Oneg Shabbat is a social gathering before Friday night Jewish services, a chance to mingle with wine, seltzer, and some light snacks
6:30 - 7:30 PM - Kabbalat Shabbat Service

We welcome you to sponsor a Kabbalat Shabbat Service, in honour of a simcha or special birthday/anniversary, in memory of a loved one, in commemoration of a yartzeit, or just because! Without sponsorships, we cannot offer the wonderful experience of welcoming in Shabbat as a community.

Kabbalat Shabbat in the Park - 2026 Dates
Please join us for Kabbalat Shabbat in the Park. Services will be led by Rabbi Crawley.
Services begin at 6 pm. Please bring a copy of our Siddur, Shirat Halev, if you have one. Copies will be available to borrow.
Location - Bickford Park
Address - 400 Grace Street, near Grace Avenue, just south of Bloor Street. We will be at the North East corner of the park, where there is a small hill. Please bring a blanket to sit on, and/or a folding chair. Rabbi Crawley will be leading the services at the bottom of the hill.

We will make a call by 3 pm if it rains. If the event is cancelled, it will be posted on our City Shul Facebook pages
Accessibility:
Please use the paved path, running parallel to Grace Street, which starts from Harbord Street. Walking this path is the easiest way to access our services at the NE corner of the park.
