ISRAEL ENGAGEMENT - "Israeli Music & Poetry Before and After October 7", with Rabbi Larry Englander
Yossi Klein-Halevy has said that “to understand Israel, you have to listen to its soundtrack.”
The music and poetry written about the massacre of October 7, 2023 gives us a unique insight into Israelis’ reaction to this event. We shall encounter the emotional blend of anger, betrayal, and hope as Israelis struggle to build a better future.
English translation will be provided.
We begin with Havdallah, followed by Rabbi Englander leading us in select poetry readings and music soundtrack, followed by a group discussion.
Adult members only. Free. Registration will be capped at 40 members.
The location will be sent closer to the date. The event will not be live-streamed.
The deadline for registration is Wednesday, March 19
