Lag B'Omer Bonfire

A sold-out crowd enjoyed kosher hotdogs, chips and all the fixin's thanks to the generosity of DSM Foods, Inc. and fantastic kosher vegan marshmallows for our yummy s'mores from Evergreen Foods. We sang Israeli and Jewish songs along with Eldan Cohen, kicked around soccer balls, played in the playground, shmoozed with new and old members, got to know each other's dogs, ate more and laughed till (and even while) the rain came!

The United Church, Israel and the Jewish Community

Picture
Over 100 people came out to dialogue and share in a respectful and open-hearted forum between City Shul and Trinity/St Paul. Small groups listened carefully to each other after presentations by both Rabbi Goldstein and The Reverend Van Nie. The evening ended with comments and questions that truly came from the heart, and a beautiful singing of Shalom Aleichem in 3 part harmony. Special thanks to moderators Yvonne Stewart from Trinity/St Paul and Jay Waterman from City Shul.
